My mom always used “Prego” spaghetti sauce, so that’s what I’m used to as far as bottled sauces are concerned. My husband grew up with “Ragu”, so there’s always a disagreement when we go shopping. Compromising, we usually decide to work together and make our own, which tastes better anyway. ;)
Hey, did you know that “Prego” in Italian means “You’re welcome?” :)
The other Italian brand I really like is “DiCamillo’s”. It’s a specialty Italian brand from Niagara Falls, where I grew up, but it’s available for special ordering on the net, and is also carried in specialty shops nationwide. Good stuff. Trust me.
I’m not Italian, but I LoooooooooVE Italian food.

Moda Dea, hands down. It’s a brand of yarn made in Italy, holds an Italian name, and blows the rest of the yarn competition out of the water. There are many different styles of Moda Dea, and, for the most part, they’re all extremely soft, flamboyant, and a bit on the pricey side, though leagues ahead of most of the other yarn. I’ve been knitting with this yarn since February at least, and, especially since I saw one particular style of in on sale for a dollar and skein, I’ve been using it quite a bit more often, though I started with my last skein yesterday…
