Honestly, I have to say Revolution because I’ve seen lots of reports of fleas & ticks becoming immune to Frontline.
I prefer actually to not put chemicals on my dog, because they just do not work for me without giving my dog rashes, flaky skin, or itchiness. So I use Brewers Yeast/Garlic pills. Simple enough for me, and it works for me.
Don’t waste your time with flea collars, they aren’t worth it, really. I don’t use anti-flea-and-tick shampoo/condition either, I use oatmeal shampoo/conditioner. I only use anti-flea-and-tick shampoo/conditioner if I have a flea infestation. And you shouldn’t have a flea infestation if all your dogs are being treated with flea medication that works for them.
Also, one last thing- please never use BioSpot, Hartz, and the like. The lower priced ones. They are poison. There’s a website called HartzVictims.org, and it’s about pets who have become very sick/have died because of these products. http://www.hartzvictims.org/
Good luck with your dogs, I hope you will find something that works for you & the dogs!

My yorkie is allergic to Frontline. I used Revolution for about a year (I moved and the new vet doesnt carry it). I loved it while my dog was on it. The vet that I used when we found out my dog was allergic to Frontline recommended it saying that it was recommended for smaller dogs, even tiny kittens could handle Revolution when they couldnt handle the toxicity of other brands on their tiny bodies.
But my dog had a flea problem while he was on Frontline. But he never had a problem while on Revolution.
You might also look up Capstar. It’s a little pill that will kill all of the live fleas on your animals within hours. I used them a lot when I lived with my mom on her farm.
I know others have said this already, but I just want to follow up with an agreement on the flea collars. They just dont work. Plan and simple. The Capstar pill is FAR more effective.
And a anti flea and tick shampoo is fine while the fleas are a problem. But once you get the fleas off the dogs, you shold switch to something less harsh on their skin and coat.

If you use an anti=flea product like either you mentioned you don’t use a flea collar. Nor do you really need an flea shampoo. We use advantix because it seemed to work better but i have heard good things about revolution. The dosage goes by weight so the effectiveness goes by weight. If your dog lke to swim a lot or you bath frequently make sure the product is okay with that (some are not).

I have used both revolution and advantix
advantix smelled like a pesticide,so I told my Vet I only want revolution
you won’t need flea shampoo nor a flea collar
    revolution
    flea’s ,ticks,ear-mites,mange,heart-worm,hookwo… to mention a few
anyone can start puppies from 6 weeks on,I also use it as a de-wormer for puppies
you use it for 6 months from june 1st to Nov 1st
its the best ever,my dogs have never had flea’s or anything described above

i always use frontline the only bad thing bout it is it doesn’t repel the fleas and ticks but it does kill them really quick and really does last a month. u cant use a collar with shampoo and the frontline you should stick wit one cause all three of them put chemicals in ur dogs body, frontline has 4 different kinds for 4 different size dogs even puppies.

Both of those medications work marvelous. If your dog is allergic to one then of course you can stick to the other. I use frontline on two of my dogs and revolution on the dog thats allergic. They both work great. Also, K-9 Advantix works well.

frontline … revolution …. flea collars
all of these things are poison
    research them
would you want a toxic flea collar wrapped around your neck
don’t just go by what everybody says or because everybody else is doing it
using them together, might as well just shoot the dog

I have a Terrier mix and I use Frontline. I use it monthly on her. It has been been very effective.
Make sure you use the one that the dosage is according to their weight.

For my adult German Shepherd, I used Frontline – it’s a really good product
For my 4 month old puppy (little Maltese/Chihuahua thing) I use this thing called Advocate. That one is good too
