I have MAJORLY course and thick hair. I use a Revlon straightener and it straightens my hair flat to my head. It’s great. Wal-Mart sells them for like $30, I do believe.

    GHDs are okay
The new Babyliss Elegance 2000 are honestly better! than GHDs, for two reasons!
1)they don’t split the ends of the hair
    2) One go through a section of hair (on wavy hair) and its straight. Curly hair might be different.
I have the Babyliss Elegance 2000 and I WOULDNT buy GHDs! Babyliss Elegance 2000 are cheaper too!

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.
    In terms of performance:
The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands
Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, DO not buy them.

CHI straighteners are good. I got mine for $130. But i know some places run sells on them and you can get one for like $80. It’s worth the price though.

get the babyliss pro 230 – its amazing! does just as good as any ghd, some say even better, and its less than half the price! go to anywhere like boots or whatever and any salesperson will say its a better buy!
