hope this helps… I’ve had the same problem a couple of times.
My first thought was of liquid fabric softener, which you stated you don’t use. The only other thing I can think of is this: Some detergents that I have used to the past made similar sounding stains if they weren’t given enough time to mix in with the water. For instance, if they sat too long on dry clothes, and weren’t given enough time to dissolve, then they would settle in the fabric and leave a stain on the article clothing in the shape that it settled in. Perhaps this is the problem?
Are you washing your chapsticks with your clothes? I don’t know what can be causing these stains but if you want to remove them try Lestoil and a toothbrush and scrub them out.
