any ceramic flat irons would be good. they distribute the heat better. Make sure that it has a temp dial so you can choose how hot you want it to be. A wide one will get more done at once. A thinner one will get the areas close to the face, easier.
This months Glamour magazine has good tips on straightening your hair. go look.

Everyone says a “Chi” is the best flatiron. I’ll tell you a secret about them though, they don’t last very long. The best flatiron I have found is through a company called “Hardcore” I first found out about them 4 years ago, I still have the very first flatiron and it still works like the day I got it.

go to a professional salon and buy one through them – it will be damn expensive, around the $150 mark perhaps, but they will work the best
you pay for what you get for really! wait a bit, save up some money and buy one at a salon (they’ll reccomend a good one for your hair type too)

Chi is the best flat iron to use. My neighbour is a hair stylist, i work with a hair stylist and my own hair stylist tells me that chi is the very best

my hair is the same.. until i bought a chi, the run about 130.00 and can only be bought in beauty stores.. but its worth every penny of it.
