taylormade rac os2 irons,,,, taylormade burner 3 wood 14*,,, taylormade daytona putter ,,,,, adams tom wattson wedges,,,,, titleist d1 driver 9.5*
Obviously you are going to need something fitted to your build but it seems you are playing nearly once a week so go with something durable.
I am a titleist guy so have to put in a shameless plug. I play about twice a week and practice two to three times a week and could not be happier with the titleist 690 cb.
They are a blade with a slight cavity back so they are forgiving but they still allow you to work the ball with the feel of a blade. Its really a personal preference so I recommend trying several brands and see what produces the best results.
Golf is mental, and having a nice set of clubs that you feel comfortable with is an added bonus
I’ve played Taylormade, Titleist, Callaway, Nike, Cobra, Mizuno, and Nickent. I have never hit better driver than my Nickent 4dx. It is custom fit to my swing however, and I got it from the nationwide tour rep. so you would be hard pressed to find another one like it. However it is not as expensive yet just as accurate and ten times longer than the r9, 909d, Hibore, or pretty much any driver on the marker that i’ve tried to hit.
I also use nickent fairway woods but am under contract with them, but I’ll be honest and let you know that I like the callaway x series fairway woods a little more.
I use the Nickent irons but my favorite irons and the irons I would suggest are Mizuno, my clubs have been made for me so I won’t find any better ones. If you are going to pick some up however, I would suggest anything Mizuno.
I really like the Callaway line. For irons the x-22 and for woods the Diablo easy to hit and long and great feel. Taylor made is very good also the burner line of irons are good also. It all comes down to the setup when you look down at the club if you are happy with them. the x-22 lets you work the ball good also.
I play Ping i-5 irons and I love them, I have owned Callaway and there is no comparison. I play Booby Jones fairway metals by Jessie Ortiz and they are a very versatile club for many shots. I like the New Taylor Made Burners for drivers or the Cleveland Launcher series. I average 300 yrds with my driver with an 8.5 degree loft.
What you need to do is go to a golf shop and demo some, and buy the ones that feel best to you. I reccomend you try out the Nike Slingshot 4D Irons, or the Victory Red by Nike too. Also look at Taylor Made, or Callaway. The Taylormade R9 is a great driver, same with the remodelled R7. You could also try the Nike Sumo.
