Looking At Some Knockoff Callaway Irons, Need Some Feedback Before Pulling The Trigger…?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

I’ve found some pretty convincing looking knockoff Callaway FT-I Brid and X22 Irons that I’m thinking about getting. I know they’re reproductions, and that’s not the issue. I don’t need or have to have a name brand club, I just like what I read about both of these iron sets being game improvement sets which is exactly what I need. Obviously the clubs will have some differences from the ones coming straight from callaway, but for literally less than 1/4 of the price, including the FT-I Squareway 3 and 5 wood and the FT iq Driver, and the 3-sw with both sets, It’s hard not to look at.
Brand name and looks aside, how well can I truly expect these irons to perform against the real thing? Given the same moulding and weighting, will the irons perform as well and truly still be game improvement irons? Or will they just be a piece of metal at the end of a stick with which you try and make contact with a ball? I can’t shell out $1000+ right now for golf clubs. If I can get even close to the performance level of these clubs with the knockoffs, I’d really like to go ahead and get them. When I say knockoff, I mean, brand-name and all is on the club, not clones, but look exactly like the original, logos and all. Any help would be appreciated. I generally shoot b/w 95-105 and hear that game improvement irons would be a big help at my level, just don’t want to spend anything on stuff that won’t help me, no matter how good a deal it looks like. Thanks a lot.

Help? I Am Looking For Feedback On A Possible Product / Brand Name?

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

One Latin word for “happiness” is “Felix”.
How does this sound for a self help product (book, audio) that helps people lead happier lives?
“The Felix Formula”, or
“The Felix Effect”.
Yes, Felix is the cartoon cat; however, the name evokes both alliteration and curiosity when placed in an obvious self-help section of the store. Any thoughts?
Peace and love.
