When i go to school or even just for a walk outside, i see people wearing brand names for everything from the shirt, to the jeans to even the shows, Those brands vary from Rocawear, Abercombie and Fitch, and even Nike. Why is it that you have to wear brand names to be popular? why people don’t shop at discountg stores and be proud of it? What is this hype about brand names. I am not so thin, I can’t even wear some of those shirts or jeans anyways. I am happy with going to Target, wal-mart, or even to the local flea market sometimes. Why brand names? I am getting fed up with this brand name hype? its like the iPhone, crap so expensive, people can’t even be safe with it. Please tell me the reason for the hype!

What Is The Deal With Brand Names?
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010What’s The Deal With Obscure Brands On The Shelves At Discount And 99 Cent Stores?
Sunday, November 29th, 2009I normally shop at a regular supermarket where the brands are all the familiar brands we all know.
I went in one of those 99 cent stores the other day just to see what it was like. They carried several common non-perishable food items, but they were all brands I’d never heard of before. Brands that you never see on the shelves at a regular supermarket.
I am wondering: what’s the deal with these brands?
Are they subsidiaries of the same corporations and food manufacturers who make the well-known brands, but of a lower quality and distinctly marketed for discount stores like this?
Or are they completely separate companies from the companies that make the well-known brands?
