I’m starting up a new graphic design firm, and I want to call it 30mileswest. Its a reference to a Brand New song. It doesn’t have any real meaning but I thought it sounded cool.

I actually came across this company because I bought a Dinosaur brand guitar amplifier for my son on an Ebay auction for about8% of it’s retail cost. I got lucky on bidding on an auction that was in an oddball catagory. So of course even if it’s not my Favorite tube amp ( although I guess Dinosaur makes tube amps too in China via the Eleca company) it is their 2-10 solidstate combo with chorus and reverb and 2 channels, fx loop, spkr. outs L& R.
Anyway, I’ve built several tube amps in the past 25 years and I consider myself a pretty good mod guy. When I went to look for ANY info on this Dinosaur amp I just got dead ends. I did however find their distributer/manufacture. What was interesting was that they said they could build amps for anyone in China. Alright. So the question on everyones mind is , ” When can I get a 4-10 Bassman for say, $300?? Or a Marshall… My question: Are there any copyrights governing what you can’t design into amps?Anyone?
What Company Has Good New Era Fitted Hats That Is Not A Sport Team? No Crazy Colors, Just Nice Design. Help!?
Friday, February 12th, 2010I am looking for a good 59Fifty hat to rock. No crazy color schemes or ridiculous designs that look like a rainbow or like a 3year old drew on it. I also don’t really want a sports team. I know other companies of clothing and fashion and art design fitted hats so if you can recommend any that would be great. Nothing crazy, nice simple designs that could be worn on a daily basis. Links would be great. Or if you can just recommend brands that work with new era that would be great.
Best answer goes to the one that provides great hat styles but non sports teams and not WILD colors on the hat. Direct links are a plus.

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010Hello. A friend of mine has asked me to come up with a name for her for her company in graphics design. the problem is, I cant come up with one!! She’s using a Koi fish as her brand, because she likes the symbolism behind it. She’s doing logo work, photography, digital imaging, etc. She wants ONE WORD to be the title of the company so it needs to like capture what the company is about (that is also the meaning of the koi fish, over coming obstacles and working diligently, creating powerful images that touch the hearts of the owner and those around them, etc). But I can’t come up with anything, anyone on here got a few ideas?

Any idea?
I know it depends on the brand that buys it too, but let’s pretend that he doesn’t work for this company, they just want to buy “one” of his designs/illustraton, which is to become a decoration for one of their dresses… which makes this a very occasional circumstance… any idea?
Oh the fashion company is even little, not a major one.
