It’s a real pain, but this is how:
You need a 3/4 curling iron, heat protector, mousse, and flexible hair spray. Apply the heat protector and mouse to your hair to get started.
Section your hair into maneageable parts so they don’t get in your way.
Start at the bottom, take a smallish piece our of a bottom section, and curl the piece, starting from the middle of the strands toward your scalp. Hold for just a few seconds, let that section go, then curl the bottom half of the strands, allowing the part you just curled to twist itself.
MOST IMPORTANT: When you release the bottom part of the strands, pull the curling iron stright down so the bottom points down instead of out. That’s what gives it the casual look.
finally, spray each section after it’s curled, but don’t touch it, When you’re all done and your hair is cool, run your fingers through your hair straight down just once or twice, and spray again.

She has the best hair tutorials ever. She has one called beachy waves. I swear. She also shows you how to get celebrity hairstyles. Like Selena gomez, vanessa hudgens, and miley cyrus. She’s amazing! You should go to her channel. Just search through her vids for beachy waves.

Any brand of curling iron really..
Use a medium or a large size barrell.. Wrap your hair strand around the barrell && then run your fingers through it once your done.
It might also help to use some kind of a curling spray.
Bed Head or Got2B work really well.
