I have used a lot of brands, and my friend has about 5 different straighteners which I do not know what brand they are, but Chi has honestly worked the best and fastest for me.
These have reviews and the top 10 straighteners! Check them out:http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh…http://hair-straightener-reviews.com/
best of luck with your choice!!!! Make sure you read the reviews on the first site!
I have had both a CHI and a babyliss and many other flat irons. I currentally own a Sedu and in my opinion it is way better then both the chi and babyliss was.

Check it out. It is amazing. =)
I have conair infiniti and it works AWESOME! I’ve had it for 2 years and it still hasn’t caused me problems. other than that I’ve heard chi and hot tools have the best hot stylers.
chi, platform, and bespoke
I think the key to a great flat iron is based on several different things. The type of material the plates are made out of, the temperature it gets to, and the width of the plates. Also, its really important that you are sectioning your hair into small enough sections. If you aren’t using small enough sections, no matter how great your iron is, your hair will look crappy. As far as chi or babliss, my advice is neither. My hands down favorite brand under $150 is Sedu. I’ve only been able to find them at folica.com, but just look at the reviews. MANY people prefer them over Chi’s. Just something to think about, good luck and happy shopping!
this one is hard to find but I have finally found the best iron after trying many and spending lots of $$. I tried it out at Trade Secrets. It didn’t snag or pull my hair and made it silky straight. I have thick, coarse dark frizzy hair! Its called RUSK with CTC Technology STR8 1 1/4 inch. Better than CHI or others.
Chi’s are very well made products. I refuse to get anything else. Just make sure that your are not wrapping the cord around the flat iron to tight when your done with it, that causes problems with the product. Also, if you want your hair to stay straight all day long, i suggest blasting your hair with cool air. Usually your blow dryer has a “COOL” button, using that to cool your hair down after flat ironing it will make your hair stay straight all day. I swear by it.
-Hope this helps (:
i have thick hair, and i just have to go throug it about 7 times.
Remingtonhttp://shopping.yahoo.com/s:Styling%20To…
for this one, i have to go throu it like 3 times. http://www.sallybeauty.com/fhi-technique…
THe first one, Remington doesn’t work as well, but works, it does give shine to your hair, and well the second one is like 70 dollars and i have to say, it does give SATISFYING results.
