There once was a time when Macs were far superior to PC’s for graphic design. These days that is no longer true. PC’s are just as good as Macs. I used PC’s for years and had mostly great experiences, but I recently switched to Mac and could not be happier. This is not a shot against PC’s though. PC’s can be great. I just much prefer Macs now. BUT they are no better at graphic design type applications now than PC’s.
I spent a lot of money on my Mac. I could have bought 3 PC’s for the price I paid, but as far as I am concerned it was money well spent and I have no regrets.
no.
Well it depends really, I’ve used both PC and Mac with photoshop… I had a great experience with both to be honest. I also have a mac and I adore it, I prefer the running system, and the browser, the programs, it’s much faster and easier to maintain, and I never worry about viruses. Plus I can get all the microsoft programs I want compatible for my Mac.
True they are a lot hipper, and look a lot more professional(personal opinion) but they really are worth your while. all i’d say is just to do you’re research on what you want in a computer, and don’t settle for something that’s just eh, cause you’ll regret it later. Happy Hunting =]
I didnt read your lengthy description but … Macs are not over-rated and cant be only cause all graphic designers use it. If you go to the field, working with other designers will be harder cause you’ll have to change your files between mac and pc or whatever, which is a waste of effort and time. Thats just it, besides the fact that macs are superior for design
