I have a Jiffy Steamer, also. I’ve had it about 3 years, and I’ve reduced my dry cleaning bills enough to pay for it 3 or 4 times over. The steamer allows me to hang a garment up after a short wear, and instead of ironing (which sometimes flattens the fabric), I just steam out the little wrinkles. My clothes look fresh.
You won’t get totally away from ironing (for instance, shirts still need to be pressed), but the steamer is great for jackets, sweaters, pants, dresses and skirts.

The best steamers are the commercial ones with large metal tanks. You will still need to iron some spots in order for the garment to look their best; however, steaming is a much faster process. I like Jiffy commercial steamers. Most will likely cost you over $100 but sometimes you can find them on sale or cheaper on the Net.
